Antidotes to stress

I did feel some amount of stress last week, the reason was not clear to me. By stress I mean, a physiological perception of uneasiness. Everything organically is okay, but certain situations make us react different to our normal selves. There was a lot going on at work and at school, but I was mentally prepared, and it typically has not stressed me before.

I had to resort to my own method that I had written about it previously here - Getting a Reset - to figure out.

When I sat down and had my contemplation, I realized that I did not handle some difficult situations with my normal humility. Small traces of which slipped into my casual conversations as well. Everyone has a different reference point because it is subjective, but I did breach mine. That was keeping me uneasy. Once I realized it, and had knowledge on  how to fix it, I became peaceful again. You can't buy peace, it is manufactured within!

Two of the antidotes to stress are - (i) fearlessness, (ii) get a reset

Stress is mostly an internal perception. It comes from fear and worry. Fear of missing a deadline, fear of repercussion of something, etc. Indulging in constant thoughts of fear and worry, knowingly or unknowingly could bring them into realization. Thought in its most basic form is condensed energy. What you think you will attract. Because thought is so powerful, we can use it in its positive aspect as well. I made a resolve to not to lose peace even in the face of moods, disharmonies, etc. It's now about keeping the mind on it. Fear is meant to help us only in emergencies, it kicks in the fight or flight mechanism. Fear is not designed to be a part of regular living. If you can be fearless (in regular living), you can't be stressed. Peace is the ultimate antidote, but fearlessness is a step towards peace.

The second method to overcome stress is to get a reset. Contemplate in silence, impartially analyze the causes, results, and behavior until you are engrossed in the thought process. When you go deep enough, the process detaches you from moods, it allows you to become calm, which leads to peace. Then you can understand the stimulus and if possible, remove or repair the stimulus, which was the root cause for stressful behavior.
