The value of humility
I am writing today as it flows!
Humility leads to knowledge, and knowledge with humility leads to wisdom.
When we make ourselves humble, we seek with love and determination to understand the truth. When we completely absorb what we learn, the knowledge is saturated with love, which then manifests as wisdom. Wisdom guided actions lead to good for self and everyone. Egotistical actions might lead to misery.
Intellectual knowledge is useful under definitely predictable circumstances, but wisdom gives us the discrimination on how to act and to know whether to act (or not act) in every situation.
Let us take an analogy based on a real story,
I used to do this weird experiment when growing up without ever knowing why! I would take a rubber-band and then stretch it until it broke. It would hurt my fingers, almost every time. Then, I would take an elastic (my granny used to stitch, so there were elastics lying around). I would try to stretch it, every way possible and it would never break.
Blind intellectual knowledge is the rubber band that has its limits. It might help you meet some of your life's demands and make some friends for what you do (your doing). Wisdom converts it into an elastic that will help you find peace and joy for what you are (and people who cherish you for what you are). The ability to be humble is the first requirement !
